Virtual Information Center (VIC)
- Organize the VIC: Install communication tools (e.g., video conference system) at each IUGONET institution. [2009-2010]
- Discuss extension of our VIC and metadata database (MDB) into related fields. [2014-2015]
Metadata
- Design metadata format standards. [2009-2015]
- Release first version of our standards in 2009-2010.
- Update format as needed.
- Extract metadata from our observational data and store them to the MDB. [2010-2015]
Metadata Database (MDB) System
- Design and develop the MDB system. [2009-2015]
- Design system prototype in 2009-2010.
- Open to the public in April, 2011.
Software Development
- Develop software and tools to handle, analyze and visualize our data. [2009-2015]
- Clarify requirements for specification in 2009-2010.
Handling Legacy Observational Data
- Collect our legacy data and store them to an observational DB. [2010-2015]
