Data analysis seminar at the International School on Equatorial and low-latitude ionosphere (ISELION 2018). [2018/05/11]

The International School on Equatorial and low-latitude ionosphere (ISELION2018) was held at Bandung, Indonesia on 5-9 March 2018. We had a hands-on training session, "Training of data processing based on IUGONET", in the morning on 9 March 2018. Participants are 39 students and young scientists from 7 countries of Egypt, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Nepal, Philippines, and Vietnam.

In this seminar, we first explained how to use our web service, IUGONET Type-A, for searching, understanding, and plotting the upper atmosphere data. Then, the participants tried to visualize and analyze the geomagnetic field from the MAGDAS and 210 degree MM magnetometer networks and the field-aligned irregularities (FAIs) in the ionosphere from the MU radar and equatorial atmospheric radar (EAR) by using the GUI tool of SPEDAS.

As for the ISELION 2018, also see the article at ISEE website (below link). This school was supported by LAPAN, ISEE/Nagoya University, JSPS core-to-core program B. Asia-Africa Science Platforms, PSTEP project, National Institute of Information and Communications Technology (NICT), and SCOSTEP.
